8/Aug/22 come on fan do your thing

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Tonya brought the fan down from the cold room.

She has it in the living room.

They could really use one of those cold boxes that they have in that bedroom, in every window.

I couldn't imagine living in other parts of North America, when they tell you not to draw as much power, as the grid can't handle the demand.

I mean, yea, it's warm here.  Yesterday, with the humidex, it was 43 C.  That is about 110 F.

The Big Guy and Tonya stayed in the house with the fans on.

They went outside around 8:30.

Tonya didn't last very long.

The mosquitoes were going after her.

She didn't like that.

They weren't bugging the Big Guy as much.

That made him really happy.

Then again, a lot of stuff makes him happy.

A lot of stuff makes him wonder why you do such stuff.

Tonya made this stuffed chicken thing yesterday.

The Big Guy wasn't so sure he would like it.

But after he tried it, it was good and he really enjoyed it.

So that meant, none for me.

Onions...  always with the onions...

7/Aug/22 this is my Scratchy McScratch face

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Bonnie and Leo come for a visit.

I just love it when they visit.

Bonnie scratches me all over.

I just love it.

Starting tomorrow, it looks like there is rain in the forecast every day.

It should defeat the humidity.

Or at least that is the thought.

Like everything else, I guess we will see.

The Big Guy is thinking about making some pancakes.

I wonder if he would be motivated to make some waffles?

Normally I just sit and watch Tonya eat.

That gets to be too much for her and eventually she just gets up and empties her plate into my food dish.

So...

Either way...

Pancakes or waffles...

I like both.

6/Aug/22 there is a diva in the house

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday, Tonya left the house for a bit.

She needed to take her sister shopping.

When she got home, the Big Guy went to the bank to fix the PIN on his banking cards.

After that, the Big Guy wanted to go to Ford to see the new F-150 Lightening they had on their lot.

Turns out, the truck was ordered, 2 years ago.

The Big Guy asked if they could open the driver door.

He wanted to see two items.

He wanted to see the navigation screen.  It's only just bigger than the current screen that he has in his Flex.

He also wanted to see the power pedals.  He found that switch.  That way, Tonya would be able to drive the truck.

He got them to open the powered frunk.  Yup, the front trunk, which is called the frunk.  In the videos that he has seen, it looks bigger.

When he got home, Tonya went to get the Grand Children.

They wanted to play in the pool, but Tonya said that it was too hot outside to do that.

They played inside and the Big Guy blew some bubbles.

I mostly just tried to find a place that was still being effected by the fan, but out of the way of the kids.  I really didn't want to play with them.

That was until Tonya got out the crackers and the peanut butter.  There was also some cheese.

I was sociable then.

After the snacks, I went and laid down again.

5/Aug/22 I just shake my head

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Tonya sent the Big Guy to go shopping yesterday.

He came home empty handed.

He forgot the new PIN for his debit card.

Today, he will be going to the bank to have the PIN reset.

He has had the same PIN since his first debit card that he got when he would have been 19 years old.

That is like remembering the phone number of his home when he would have been a teenager.

It was 463-3711

How he remembered it, well, the phone exchange was easy.  In Dartmouth, there was on the 3 exchanges.  463, 466, and 469.

He also lived in building 37 on Lakefront Road.

He lived in the 2nd floor of that building.

So, 3711 was easy to remember.

There was one time, the Big Guy was in North Sydney and he needed to make a phone call.

Everyone here knew the exchange.

He didn't.

When he asked for the phone number, they only gave him the last 4.

He had to explain it to them, he didn't know the first 3.

Now, you have to add the area code.

But cell phones have pretty much taken away the memorization of phone numbers.

The Big Guy is lucky that he can remember his home phone number now.
