4/Nov/21 all the better to see you in the dark

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

It rained quite a bit yesterday.

People tend to say that a rainy day is a miserable day.

The Big Guy, of course, he doesn't look at it as a miserable day.

He doesn't have to shovel rain.

Which will be happening all too soon for him.

He still hasn't flipped his lawn mower deck for the snow blower attachment.

That takes him about an hour.

He is always happier when he flipped the other way.  That he has a lawn mower.

He has wondered about having an electric garden tractor.  It would certainly be an expensive one.  That's for sure.

He did see that they have an electric walk behind snow blower.  It will run for about an hour before you have to swap out the battery.

But when he used to have the walk behind snow blower, it would take him about 3 hours to snow blow the yard.

The Big Guy is getting older and really doesn't like doing manual labour like that.

But then again, he could also think about hiring someone to do that stuff for him.  There is services like that.

So far, he will be bitter about it all and he will continue to shovel the snow.

Myself.

I pee on the snow that he has shoveled.  Just trying to do my part.

3/Nov/21 I am never going to see Elizabeth Norman

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

There is this little girl, that is Tonya and the Big Guy's Grand Daughter.

The Big Guy likes to refer to her as 7 of 10.

He has 10 grand children and she was, well, #7.

When Elizabeth was a little baby, they were allowed to see her.

The last time they seen their Grand Daughter was: ‎August ‎28, ‎2016, ‏‎1:08 PM.

You may be asking, Did Elizabeth pass away?

No.

They are not allowed to see her due to the parents telling them that they are not allowed to see her any more.

Tonya has been sending Birthday and Christmas Cards.  The money has always been taken.

This year, Elizabeth's other grand mother went to visit, and gave Elizabeth the card.

Elizabeth doesn't know who Tonya or the Big Guy are.  It's been over 5 years, and of course, she wouldn't know who Tonya and the Big Guy would be.

But the grand mother was told, you will "unfriend" Tonya and you will NEVER deliver another letter or card to Elizabeth from those people.

Tonya was devastated.

The Big Guy is upset, but he isn't showing it.

They are hopeful that some day, Elizabeth will try to find out who her bio father is.  The mother had asked Floyd to sign over his father status so that her current husband could adopt Elizabeth as his own.

Floyd refused to sign, and everything as gone downhill since then.

The mother has said that we would ALWAYS be able to visit with Elizabeth.  Floyd, not so much, but us, she would never take Elizabeth away.

Now, because there are people that are in danger of loosing their own visitation with Elizabeth, Tonya and the Big Guy have no contact with their Grand Daughter.

By extension, I will never get to see Elizabeth either.

2/Nov/21 if I close my eyes the fireworks will not hurt me

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

For some reason, that I still can't understand, the people from Cape Breton, associate Fireworks with Halloween.

I am not sure why.

I would think, Fireworks and New Years.

But nope.

Halloween night, there was some people walking past our neighbor's house and as they were walking by, they threw a lite firework towards our neighbor's truck.

Of course, it went off.

Brenda went outside and walked around the truck to make sure that it was OK.

You could tell, she wasn't very happy.

I went and sat with the Big Guy.

Which is something that I only do when I need to be convinced that everything is going to be OK.  He would pat me and comfort me.

Last night, I had to jump up on the couch with him to get more comforting.

Stupid Fireworks.

1/Nov/21 there is someone at the door

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I didn't get the bark at a lot of kids yesterday.

Tonya and my Memere sat outside and gave out all the treats.

Aurora came by and she was upset that she wasn't able to come in.  She is still a bit young t understand about going door to door to trick or treat for treats.

But they were the 1st ones to arrive yesterday.

Memere took all kinds of pictures of the kids that came to the house for treats.

I know that my Memere is going to be leaving and going back home today.

I will miss her.

Then, later on, Tonya will be going to work.

I will miss her too.

But at least I know that Tonya will come home again.

The people that were out for Halloween last night, were pretty lucky.  

It didn't start raining here till it was closer to 10:00 last night.

But that is it for Halloween for 2021.

Christmas 2021.
