4/Sep/20 you woke me up to take a picture, your not very nice

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The Big Guy got up and noticed right away, something was wrong.  It was +21 C this morning.  Why isn't this normal?  Because the last week, well the last few weeks actually, the temp has been in the low teens.  So anywhere between 13 to 15 C in the morning.

But we are also expecting a lot of rain today.  There is a tropical depression off the coast, so that would why the elevated temp.

The Big Guy is working upstairs, but when he goes to work, he shuts the bathroom door and also the door to the bedroom where Tonya is sleeping.

The bathroom, because I LOVE toilet paper.

The bedroom, because I LOVE to get up on the bed and put my big paws on Tonya's face to let her know that I'm thinking about her.

Tonya says, if I would just lay on the bed, she would allow me to have access to the bed.  

But for some reason, I can't let to just lay there...  I've got to bug her when she is laying down.

Just like when she tries to nap on the couch.  Even the Big Guy.  I will go over and I will stare at them while they are sleeping.

I will put my nose right up to their mouth and sniff to see if they are breathing.

Once I've confirmed they are breathing, I will snort in their face and go lay down, satisfied that they are OK.

Right now, Tonya is sleeping and the Big Guy shut the bedroom door.  I've got my nose at the bottom of the bedroom door.  I am breathing on the door.  i hope Tonya can hear me and will wake up.

3/Sep/20 now that the visit is over, I can relax

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday, Mylynne, Colby and Aurora came for a visit.

I really do love Aurora, but she is such a small person.  It would seem that the adults really want to protect her.  She would be above me in the hierarchy at home.

Aurora is referred to as "Grand Daughter".

Not sure what is so "grand" about her.  She can hardly walk.  She most certainly doesn't talk very much.  She also has a bunch of weird toys that makes a lot of noise.

She got this lobster.  I had to check it out.  When I went to sniff it, I was told "NO".  But I think that's because I was given a stuffed toy in the past and I tore is apart in a few minutes.  They didn't want me to do that to Aurora's stuffed toy.

I have to wonder though.

What would they do if she would take the time to rip it apart?

I bet they wouldn't be too happy.

2/Sep/20 you better enjoy sitting out, Winter is coming

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday, when Tonya and the Big Guy sat outside, she kept asking the Big Guy if he was cold.  Well he wasn't.  But she didn't want him to go inside.  It was just warm enough to sit outside.  But those days of sitting out, without a jacket will be coming to an end soon enough.

Then, sitting out, will end as it will be just too cold to go sit outside.  The Big Guy will have to bring the chairs off the deck and put them in the garage.

Tonya also got after the Big Guy for not mowing the lawn yesterday.  She says it looks "ratty".  So, today, after she gets up, he will go out and mow the lawn.  It isn't supposed to rain today.  

We are also supposed to have Floyd, Mylynne, Colby and Aurora over for supper today.  They are going to have pizza.  Tonya won some gift certificates.  Colby can be fussy about what he eats.  So he shouldn't have any problems with pizza.

The Big Guy had thought that they would get a party pizza.  But Floyd doesn't like veggies on his pizza.  Colby doesn't like much of anything lately.  Tonya and Mylynne want a lot of veggies on their pizza.  The Big Guy, well, he would want all the meats and double the cheese.  Aurora is tasting a lot of different foods.  Some she likes and some other, well, not so much.  She really loves chicken.  She even says "chicken" when you tell it to her.

1/Sep/20 must you really STOMP around the house when your walking

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I can be sound asleep.  But as soon as Tonya or the Big Guy gets up, I'm immediately awake.

You never know when you may be invited to go for a drive somewhere.

So, this morning, true to form, the Big Guy slept in.  Boy oh boy, did he sleep in.  It was almost 7:30 before he moved out of bed.

Tonya was even up before he was, so she made breakfast.

He was pleasantly surprised when he could smell the eggs, beans, toasts and coffee from upstairs.

Who doesn't love getting up and seeing that breakfast has already been made for you.

The Big Guy was having some internet problems with his computer.  He fixed it by moving this Wifi antenna that he has on his computer.  Now it seems to work just fine.

We will find out just how long it will be before he has to move the antenna once again.
