4/Mar/20 let me in, it's raining outside

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I didn't want to stay outside too long today.  It's raining quite a bit.

You do know who is quite happy about that.  Hmmm...  let me guess...  If you guessed the Big Guy, you would be right.  It's not that he minds the snow.  It does look nice and all that.  But it's cleaning the snow off the car.  Shoveling the snow off the steps.  Snow blowing the driveway.  Putting salt down because of the snow and ice.

If snow didn't come with all those chores, the Big Guy would likely LOVE the snow.

There was a big to do on Social Media about this massive storm that we were supposed to get this weekend.

Turns out the storm is going to stay to sea and were going to be missed.

He isn't making any bones about being happy about it too.  He has quite the smile on his face that the storm is going to miss us.

So, last night, the Big Guy made some home fries, some steak and gravy.  But he made it all without onions.  Can you believe it?  I know that my nose was really surprised.

Then...  Tonya put some in a bowl and brought it over to my food dish and mixed the steak and gravy with my kibble.  Of course I ate it all.  It was soooo  good!

But, today, were back to reality.  The Big Guy is going to be making some jambalaya.  I can't have any of that.  Not even a little bit.

3/Mar/20 tell me why I have to come inside

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

There has been a lot of pictures about people saying not to leave your dogs outside.

For some dogs, I would agree.

I have this wonderful double fur coat.  I can stay outside for hours and hours.  Sometimes, I just look at Tonya and the Big Guy and I can see they want me to come inside.  So I do.  Just to please them.

There is this guy that lives around here.  His name is Frankie MacDonald.  He forecasts the weather and gives out warnings and such.  He has been on YouTube for a bit.  He tells you to get your pizza, your storm chips and to charge up your cell phones and the like.

Well, he forecasts a massive storm for this weekend.  50 cm of snow.  So far, the weather network is only forecasting for 20 cm of snow.

Either way, the Big Guy isn't too impressed.

Of course it could be worst.  We could get 15 cm of snow with 5 mm of rain.  That turns the snow in to this wet heavy slush.  The Big Guy says that it the absolute worst.

Not sure what to tell you.

Oh and a big hello to my non-furry memere.  She fell on the ice yesterday and broke her wrist.  You can see she has to have her hand elevated.  I think she will be wearing that cast for about 6 weeks.

I bet she will be glad when the cast can come off.

2/Mar/20 you got treats, of course I will move

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Not sure that you heard.  Tonya and the Big Guy are going to be grand parents again.  This will be grand child # 10.

Tonya seen that picture on Facebook yesterday and didn't know what it meant.  Everyone was congratulating Mylynne and Tonya still wasn't getting it.

After some quick messages, back and forth, it was confirmed.

The baby is due in October.

One lady wasn't sure how she was able to get pregnant so quickly.  The Big Guy was looking at her and was willing to talk to her about "the birds and the bees" to make sure she knew how this would happen.  He's nice that way.

So, as I'm looking outside, there is a fresh layer of snow on the ground.

Although not as much as what they had forecasted.  The Big Guy is pretty sure, there isn't enough on the ground to have to cancel school.  But that's not for him to decide.

Obviously if it were up to him, school wouldn't close on days like this.  It would be up to the parent to call in to say that the child wasn't going to be going to school.  If hospitals, police, firefighters and people at convenience stores can be open, why not the school?

Back in the day, Tonya and the Big Guy can't honestly say how often the school was closed.  Now, it seems there is a few snow flakes and school is closed.

Oh well, not for them to worry about.  Just that this always seems to be a hot topic on Facebook every time it snows.  First world problems.  They are real.

1/Mar/20 am I sleeping, what do you think

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

What is the weather going to be like where you live today?  For me, snow is the word of the day.  We are forecasted to get potentially 30 cm of snow.

Of course the Big Guy would much rather that be rain.

Honestly, he shouldn't complain too much.  He does have a rather nice snow blower and it is working just fine.  His next door neighbor, he has a much larger tractor, with a front end loader and a snow blower attachment on the back.  But right now, it's in the shop.

So the Big Guy has been taking care of his side of the driveway as well.  Not that they have asked.  Not that he feels obligated.  He does it to be neighborly.

As I am looking outside, there is just a wee bit of snow that's falling.  Now, later on, it's going to be in the "snow storm mode" and then it will go back to the wee snow falling once again.  But the wee snow falling, is going to be snowing and snowing and snowing.  Well into tomorrow.  That is where the accumulation is going to come from.

Right now, the Big Guy is listening to the radio, but he is doing it on his XBox.  Man oh man, he has told me stories about computers.  We have some a very long way in his lifetime.  He has always been an early adopter of technology.

But now, with so much tech, it seems that everyone is "connected".  I'm surprised that there isn't something for dogs and cats.  Oh wait, there is.  You can get this pet monitor thingy.  When the dog gets restless, it approaches the camera and barks at it.  It sends a test to the owner and then the owner comes on the wee TV screen.  Then, the owner can dispense a treat and talk to the doggie.

Now, why don't I have one of them?  I could use several treats though the day.  Hmmm...  I guess that is for uppity dogs.
