4/Feb/20 where is that sandwich you were going to make me

Tonya was saying that they are going to go for a drive today.  They are NOT taking me as they are taking Mylynne and Aurora.  You would think, due to the size of the car, THEY should be able to sit in the very back seats, while I got the middle seats of the car.

Hmmm...  do I have to think of EVERYTHING for them?

I like to go for drives as well.

The Big Guy is listening to this music group called "Steely Dan".  There are some people in the pictures.  I'm pretty sure they are guys, but the hair.  They have got really long hair, like a woman would have.

Now, when you see a man with longer hair, you tend to think, they must be jobless and can't afford to get their hair cut.  Either that, or they are a musician.  Musician and actors seem to have longer hair for some reason.

Then, there are the guys that think they can put their hair up in a bun.  Like a woman would do.

The guys with the man bun, they get made fun of a lot.

When I go to the Dog Park, some times people will ask if I am a boy dog.  Ahhh...  hello...  I'm sporting a dick, ain't I?

No man bun on me.

3/Feb/20 she can't deny me anything

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Well the Big Guy went looking and he found that we got 26 cm of snow at the Sydney Airport.  For those of you that are on the Imperial scale, that is 10 and a 1/4 inches of snow.

It isn't so much that it snowed, it's where to put the snow that we got.  Were running out of space for it.  The snow banks continues to increase in height.

The Big Guy said that he will be going out this morning, with the snow blower, to clean up the yard a little more.  Just to get ready for the next snow storm.  Although there is nothing in the forecast just yet.

But this is Winter in Canada.  Snow is rather expected to fall in the Winter.

The last two years, we have had it pretty easy, with regards to how much snow we got.  I mean, 2 years ago, the Big Guy brought out the snow blower twice.  Last year, three times.  This year, he has already lost count.

The Big Guy wishes that there would be a way to mount some sort of carrying device so that he would be able to put his shovel on the back of the snow blower.  That way, when he would get off the snow blower, he could have his shovel instantly available.  Otherwise, he has to bring it with him.

Just like today, there is NO path to the road for the mail man.  Well he will to make a path today.  He will need to dig a hole though what the city has put there, from when they were plowing the Street.  The Big Guy knows that the city has to put the snow somewhere.

But when they lived in Winnipeg...  if the city blocked your driveway with snow...  They would also have a different machine take the snow out and put it on your front lawn.  Imagine that...  Cape Breton would learn a few lessons from the people of Manitoba.

2/Feb/20 there is snow on them there hills

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Well if you live in Cape Breton and you happen to look outside, you will see that it's snowing out.

I could hardly wait to go out in the snow.

The Big Guy let me outside.  YIPPEE!

He looked at his car to see how much snow he would have to brush off later on.

It doesn't look too bad from this angle.

Of course, he didn't want me outside too long.  Just long enough to get my business done.

 

People tend to worry about their pets being left outside too long.

Not me...  I wanted to STAY outside.  Let me be covered by the snow.  I don't mind at all.

But eventually, all good things must come to an end.

I came inside and I shook all that snow off me.

You can't see the mess of the snow that I left on the floor.

Now, later on, the Big Guy is going to be going outside and he will be using his snow blower.

He says that he has to get this done before 8 this morning, as that is when the snow is going to change over to rain.  Moving wet and heavy snow...  there is no joy in that at all.

That is one thing that Big Guy didn't have to worry about when he lived in Winnipeg.  When it snowed, it didn't change to rain.  So the snow blower didn't have any issues with blowing the snow.  But he also had to worry about the extreme cold.  Brrr...

1/Feb/20 I'm pretty sure school is going to be closed tomorrow

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The picture above, that's my LOL face I am making at the joke I made.  There is no school on Sunday.

So were expecting about 20+ cm for tonight and early tomorrow.  On a week day, this would be VERY disruptive.  However, it being the weekend, it doesn't effect everyone.

As with every storm day, it would seem that the preceding day to a snow storm turns the average person into some sort of shopping nut.  They have to stock up on supplies that would be considered normal to have in the house.

If you were to go to the grocery store today, expect LONG line ups at the cashier.  Then, people will be complaining that there isn't enough cashiers.  Just about every shopping cart is going to be in use.  

Parking it going to be shit.

Oh it's a really good thing that the Big Guy will NOT be out shopping today.  There will be people parked in the firelane.  There will be people parked, just where ever they want to park.

His head would explode.

When he is going to be retired, I'm sure he will be one of those people that will be up and shopping, first thing in the morning.

He told me, when he lived in Halifax/Dartmouth, they had 24 hour a day shopping.  He LOVED going  shopping at 4 in the morning.  First off, all the old people that want to block the aisle and chat, well, they were still at home sleeping (like a NORMAL person would be).  Parking wasn't at a premium.  The people that would normally park in the fire lane, they were home sleeping as well.  Yup, just a lot of peace and quite for him.

If the self check out gets to be more popular, will the grocery store be open longer for him?
