12/May/19 Happy Mother's day to all the mother's out there

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

The Big Guy is suffering from a bit of insomnia.  When he worries about stuff that he can't sort out, he thinks.  But it's the thinking that gets to him.  Then he can't turn his brain off.

What's his latest boggle you ask?

The washer and dryer.

So the washer went on the fritz.  Which is fine, it's under warranty.  So it's going to be fixed on Tuesday.  Or at least he hopes so.

But he had to remove the dryer from on top of the washer.

Which he did with the help of my non-furry brother, Terry.

But he will have to get the dryer back on top of the washer.

That's the part he cant figure out.

He can't figure out how to lift the washer.

It's not like you can get a fork lift in the area where the washer and dryer are.

I'm telling you, first world problems.

They are real.

11/May/19 my food dish is that way

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Last night, the Big Guy was going to make some home fries.  They were having fish for supper and fries goes very well with fish.

The Big Guy had a thought, what if, instead of fries, he makes waffles fries.  He has done them in the past.  They are not hard to do.  Just take patience.

Except it's a new slicer.  He didn't make waffle fries, he ended up making dollar fries with ridges on them.

Except as he was looking at them, he got a thought.

He ended up making thick cut, ridges, potatoe chips.

As much as I begged Tonya to have some, she didn't give me any.  I drooled quite a bit too.  Hoping that would help.

She didn't want to eat everything that the Big Guy had made, so she put them in the fridge so that she could bring them to work today.

We will have to see if the "crispy" ness is gone out of the chips.  She did put them in the fridge.  Then, today, when she is at work, she will be putting them into the microwave, obviously to heat up her fish.

I guess we will find out what happens, when she gets home tonight.

10/May/19 I will huff and I will puff or I can break your door down

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

I came in and I went to my food dish.

No surprises.

Just kibble.

I looked in the other dish.

Again, no surprises...

Just water.

My food dish has been boring lately.

Although the other day, just to mix it up a bit.  I grabbed a HUGE mouth full of kibble and then started choking on it.

It went into the living room and coughed the kibble up, all over the floor.

Believe me, with the size of mouth that I have, there was a LOT of kibble.

Of course Tonya screamed.

The Big Guy just looked at me.

So I started eating the kibble off the living room floor.

That's how I roll.

9/May/19 not sure what I would do if this couch was replaced

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

I've heard from the Big Guy that his other dogs were NOT allowed up on the furniture.  I was just so head strong as a puppy, he just gave up trying to stop me.

They have also said, that I will be the last pet they will ever own.  Which is fine by me.

Yesterday I got to be outside with the Big Guy for a bit.  He took the garden cart from the garage and grabbed the two bags of debris, from the wall that he took apart upstairs.

Then he took the lattes and put them in the garden cart.  I've heard he is keeping them for a bone fire.  The plaster, or the cement that was left, he back filled this hole that was left from this stump that he burnt out last year.

So that hole is mostly filled in now.  He said that he only needs to get some dirt and till up the remainder of the hole.  Then get some grass seed and voila, done with that job.

That is unless I manage to get into the dirt.  I will likely "dig for gold" if I see that there is some loose dirt for me to play with.

I've got these huge shovels for paws.  At least that is what the Big Guy calls them.  They can move a lot of dirt.

Tonya found some use for the small Wal-Mart steaks.  She cut them up and made a stir fry yesterday.  Although the Big Guy knows that these steaks are the correct size, he much prefers a larger steak.  Like a porterhouse steak.  But you don't often find that cut of steak any more.  Last time the Big Guy had that is when he was in Victoria and he had the camper on the back of his 1/2 ton truck.  He said that he was so full when he was done eating.
