9/Aug/23 going to lay on the floor

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Tonya heard from the furniture store.

Her new end tables and coffee table have arrived and will be out for delivery.

Now, if it were up to the Big Guy, he would ask if they could go pick them up directly.

But she also must of paid for the delivery already.

It's getting cooler in the evenings.

Like Summer came, it was hot, and is leaving now.

They will be taking the Air Conditioner out of the bedroom window.

I'm sure they could put one of those window fans in it's place and the room would be cool when they woke up.

That would mean, no longer having to climb those stairs to go to the "cool room".

That is the only pain in the ass.

Yes, I want to be cool.

But at what price?

It's those stairs.

Why didn't they get a 1 level house?

Or an apartment?

Then again, some apartments have 2 or 3 floors.

Although I think they are called condos.

Humans and their houses.

Oh well, this house is pretty nice, so I best stop bitchin.

8/Aug/23 looking left and right

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

This past Summer, it's been hot for me.

I like spending the day upstairs in the cold room.

I've got some sort of eye infection, and they have been putting drops in my eyes.

Of course, I close my eyes so that they can't put the drops in my eyes.

But the force my eyes open.

Yesterday, the Big Guy put up the baby gate for the front deck and took off my collar.

Then, he went and got the garden hose.

My fur under my chin is full of slobbers and is no longer all white.

They decided to fix that.

I wasn't happy about that.

I tried to hide in the corner of the deck.

Didn't help.

The garden hose can reach all the way around to the other side of the house.

I really had no where to hide.

But they only sprayed under my chin and across my chest and of course, my front paws as i was standing in the water.

When I shook, there was no water to shake off.

I wasn't very pleased with them.

I'm all dry now.

Still don't like the garden hose.

7/Aug/23 thunder showers

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

We could only sit out for a little bit yesterday.

The sun would come out.

Then the rain would roll in.

We would wait for the outside stuff to dry.

We would sit out again.

Rain would roll in.

We did that several times yesterday.

The Big Guy also did up some spaghetti and meatballs.

He also does it so that he puts the spaghetti into the sauce to cook.

Of course, this means no strainer and no other pot gets dirty.

It also means, I don't get to have any spaghetti.

Tonya does it so that I get a small helping of cooled off noodles in my food dish.

The Big Guy adds extra water to compensate for the spaghetti being cooked in the sauce.

So, if you would look at his spaghetti when the noodles haven't absorbed the water.

You would think, his sauce is very thin.

But once the spaghetti is all cooked, his sauce is very thick.

Doesn't even have to add tomato paste to thicken.

He also made some berry compote.

There isn't anything in there that I can't have.

Hopefully, Tonya will be able to share some of that with me.

6/Aug/23 dreaming of being young

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I am no longer the jumpie, bitie, puppy that I was once upon a time.

Now, I'm older and slower.

If we are sitting on the front deck, I will bark at people if they are walking their dog.

Before, I would run down the front steps and leap across the last 5 or 6 steps.

Now, I use each and every stair as I'm going down.

Before, I would chew on the deck rails and the siding of the house.

I was teething and nothing would stop me from chewing.

I also haven't been dropping as much fur as I did previously.

Yup, I'm a senior in dog years.

Although no grey yet.

Same with the Big Guy.

If you look at his beard, he got grey there.

But on top of his head, only a little bit.

Then again, he keeps his hair cut, high and tight, so you hardly get to see him with any hair.

Tonya got a dye job a few months ago.

Of course her hair grows and you can see the underlying grey.

She went to the hair stylist and they cut most of the dye out.

Next hair cut and she will be all grey once again.
