4/Aug/20 with those high winds, the mosquitoes better have velcro shoes on

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The Big Guy's brother, Marc, he is home again from Egypt.

Everyone in the family is happy that he is back in Canada once again.

There is a post Hurricane that is coming to New Brunswick tomorrow.

That means that there will be high winds for Nova Scotia.

Tonya was asking the Big Guy if he knew what he was supposed to be doing today.  Of course the Big Guy didn't know.  She told him, he has to mow the lawn.  Trim the hedge.  Whipper snip. And fix the wooden bench.

The Big Guy said, you also forgot, play video games.

She had asked him what he wanted for supper.

He said, Taco Spaghetti.  She doesn't much like it.  But the Big Guy sure does.  So guess what he will be making after his chores are done today?

Yup, Taco Spaghetti.  Yet another dish that I can't have.

3/Aug/20 it is my job to create fur tumbleweeds

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I drop a lot of fur.

Doesn't matter what time of year.

Although the Spring, I drop a lot MORE fur.

The other day, the Big Guy took the casters off Tonya's computer chair and tried to get all the fur that was binding the casters from rolling on the floor.  A job that the Big Guy thought would take about 15 minutes, took about 2 hours.

But as he was putting the casters back on Tonya's computer chair...

He noticed that the fan, in the living room, was blowing a bunch of my hair towards this other room.

It reminded the Big Guy of when he lived in Moose Jaw.

They had tumbleweeds there.

Tumbleweeds are about 2 to 3 feet in diameter.  The wind blows them across the land.

If you got a fence, they will sometimes gather along the fence.

One time, one of their friends were walking home and they spotted a tumbleweed in front of them.  They ran after it cause they said, no one in the Maritimes have ever seen one.

Didn't they get surprised when they found out that tumbleweeds are full is thorns.

That idea went out the window...

2/Aug/20 the floor is too hard to sleep on

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

There is this chicken place that is not too far from where we live.  It's called A&K Lick-A-Chick.  I've talked about this place in the past.  They have really good fried chicken.

But I never get to have any.

Do you know who else gets to have some of that A&K Lick-A-Chick chicken?

Sea Gulls.

Yup.

After the Big Guy and Tonya, oh and perhaps anyone else that might be visiting, they have the bones and what ever little remnants that are left over.

This gets thrown out to the sea gulls.

Now, it's not just sea gulls.  Some times the crows sees what has been thrown out.

Or the sparrows.

We got Blue Jays and Robins.  They don't seem interested in that stuff at all.

We even seen a cardinal once.  Never seen it again.

We got chickadees and humming birds.  Again, they don't seem that interested in the chicken bits.  Just the bigger birds.

1/Aug/20 it's those dig dog dang Dog Days of Summer

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

As you can see in this picture, I'm just laying by the fan to keep cool.

Although the breeze that is created by this fan doesn't really ruffle much of my fur.

Remember me telling you about those BBQ mats and that the Big Guy was cooking hot dogs.

Because Mylynne and Colby dropped by, that meant fewer Hot Dogs for me.  Then, Tonya sent home a couple Hot Dogs for Floyd.  The Big Guy had his fill of Hot Dogs.  Tonya had her Hot Dog.

Do you know how many Hot Dogs that left for me?

ZERO

No Hot Dogs for the old dog.

Not even a hamburger.

Although...

Aurora had some of these strawberry/apple bits.  Tonya would put a few on her little table.  Well she really isn't all that coordinated.  Those little bits would fly off her table and on to the floor.

Tonya also tried to feed Aurora some sweet potatoes and some custard.  Aurora had a few mouth fulls but then got fussy.

Guess who had the rest.  Honestly, baby food is rather yummy and quite easy to digest.

But Baby Food was no Hot Dog...
