21/Aug/22 is it hard to light a fire

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

A few years ago...

When the Big Guy first moved into this house.

Tonya wanted to have a bon fire in the back yard.

It went South and the Big Guy ended up lighting his gerry can on fire.

Of course the actual story is much longer.

The Big Guy had shared it at work.

Everyone laughed.

Then, there was a story about buying a taser at a yard sale.

Now, this wasn't the Big Guy, but, while you were reading it, you could see the Big Guy doing something like that.

As the story went, the story teller, tested the taser on themselves.

They work up disoriented and on the floor.

One of the Big Guy's friends, who was a Military Police, told him, he was really dumb.

Yesterday, the Big Guy shared a story about a barking collar.

Now, it wasn't him...

But the manner in which it was written, you could understand, this WOULD be something that he would do.

By the way...

He didn't...

But, it is something that he would do.

20/Aug/22 I like ribs a lot

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday, Tonya asked the Big Guy if they could cook the pork ribs on the BBQ.

They were ok.

Tonya said, next time, the Big Guy is going to be cooking the ribs in the oven.

When he does that, it takes about 6 hours for him to cook the ribs.

She said, they were so much better when he makes them that way.

The last few days, Tonya and the Big Guy have been watching the IIHL Hockey.

Canada is in the lead.  They were both really surprised to see that USA got knocked out.

The World Junior Hockey is going to be playing this year out of Halifax and Moncton.

There was one year, when Tonya and the Big Guy had gone to see the Manitoba Moose hockey game.

Tonya wanted to know, where could she get a CD of the music they were playing.

She says, they always play the best music at the hockey games.

Tonya had reached out to her brother to let him know about the hockey games.

Today, Canada will be playing for the Gold Medal. Against Finland.

The Big Guy is off tomorrow, so, if he stays up to Midnight, he will be able to nap tomorrow.

I think the Big Guy must have been a dog in a past life.

I like to nap.

The Big Guy likes to nap.

19/Aug/22 I have long hair on my tail

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

You can't see it very well, but there is fur that is hanging off my tail.

This is the sort of stuff that flies everywhere.

Living with a Bernese Mountain Dog, you will learn that you will have dropped fur all over the place.

I've seen the Big Guy take a plate out of the cupboard.

There is fur on the plate.

He doesn't know how it happens.

It's just part of living with me.

We sat outside for a long time last night.

It was actually dark when we came inside.

The mosquitoes are not out in force just yet.

It rained a lot.

So it will take a few days for the larva to hatch.

Then, unless you are all covered up, the mosquitoes are going to be a problem.

Of course, this will all change once it is no longer warm outside.

Mosquitoes don't have fur jackets.

At least none of that I'm aware of.

18/Aug/22 did it rain enough for you

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

On Tuesday, the Big Guy was watching the news and he specifically looks for the weather forecast.

They had rain warnings for all the mainland.

They had only forecasted about 10 mm of rain for yesterday.

The Big Guy just checked the amount of rain they got yesterday.

The weather forecaster goofed.

They got 74 mm of rain.

That's pretty close to 3 inches of rain.

Not that he was complaining.

The grass really needed the rain.

By this Sunday, he may need to cut it.

I know that Tonya has been eyeballing the front hedge.

She has told the Big Guy, it needs to be trimmed again.

Now, with the rain that we just got, it will take a growth spurt.

There was something beeping earlier when the Big Guy got up.

What ever it was, it stopped beeping.

It was likely something that is controlled by battery and the battery is now dead due to the low battery beeping.

Electronics are dumb.
