18/Mar/22 is everyone about done with Covid

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Everyone has the choice now.

You can wear your mask, or not wear your mask.

You can go to the restaurants and to the bar now.

You can go work at work.

The government is tired of trying to get people to do the right stuff.

Now, a lot of people are still going to wear a mask.

People will not go to the restaurants or a bar.

There certainly isn't any sporting event that will get the Big Guy out of the house.

Yes, he would like to go visit his family.

He would also like to be able to go sit on a beach and just watch the waves crash on the shore.

I would like that too.

Just lay in the sun and let my body heat up.

Then, have some BBQ hot dogs.

What a perfect day.

17/Mar/22 I can taste your food for you

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The Big Guy is complaining that the food he has been making, is loosing it's taste.

Yes, he can still taste stuff.

But he also found that he finds that he has to add more pepper, or other spices to liven up what he is having.

Yesterday, the Big Guy got out his Food Processor.

There was some roast beef from earlier in the week.

He pulverized that.

Otherwise, he would have taken each piece of roast and cut it into smaller pieces.

He brought out his stand mixed and made some pie dough.

He put the dough into a baking dish and then put some frozen peas and carrots on the bottom.

Then the roast beef.

Then the left over mashed potatoes and broccoli.

He made an onion gravy to add to the pie.

He then made a pattern on top of the beef pot pie and into the oven for an hour.

Tonya said that it was very tasty.

He was really glad that the sea gulls didn't get the roast.  She doesn't always do left overs.  She also realizes that I'm here.  But doesn't always feed me the left overs.  Not sure what is up with that.

16/Mar/22 are you feeling any better

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The Big Guy has been camping out on the living room couch.

He hasn't been laying down, just sitting up.

He has also been napping alot.

I've been watching him.

He got Netflix on and then his head will slump over and you can hear him snoring.

Then, his head will snap upright and he will smack his mouth.  Looks like he has dry mouth.  He drinks some water.  He will snort a bit, watch what ever program he is watching and then quietly fall asleep again.

Yesterday, he had to back up this program he was watching about 4 times.

He goes into this coughing jag.

Tonya got after him yesterday for not covering his mouth.

She said that she could see the germs flying out of his mouth onto me, as I was laying near his feet.

Honestly, I don't want to be coughed on.

I'm sure he wouldn't like it if I would cough or sneeze on him.

Friggin weirdo.

For frig sake, cover your mouth when you cough.  Oh and blow your nose while your at it.

15/Mar/22 you knew it would happen

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Statistically you knew it would happen.

Tonya and the Big Guy have been trying to hide from Covid.  It was only 2 years ago, on the 13th of March that they started working from home.

Sure enough, on the 13th, the Big Guy and Tonya both started to feel really bad.

Tonya felt so bad, she had to call off for part of her shift and went to bed.

Yesterday, the Big Guy had chills.  His hands and feet just wouldn't get warm.  The light also hurt his eyes.  He was coughing quite a bit.  He was hurting all over.

So, he called off work and managed to get a Covid test kit.

He got home and tested positive.

He found a comforter from upstairs and made like a blanket fort on the couch.  Just enough for him to see the TV.

Tonya would come downstairs and would give him more heated up chicken broth.  Eventually the Big Guy just went and grabbed a litre of apple juice and sipped on that till it was empty.

The Big Guy blew his nose when he got up this morning.

He was so proud.

There was just so much snot.

He was going to go wake up Tonya to how her just how much snot came out of his nose.

He figured that this would be way too much sharing and didn't show her.

The Big Guy said that he is going to call off work today and hide under his comforter that he has on the couch and just watch some Netflix.

Must be nice...
