18/Nov/21 time for a long winter nap

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Last night, as the Big Guy was leaving work, Tonya stayed up for about 2 minutes and went to bed.

She goes to bed before the Big Guy, but he went to bed after her and got up before her.

But he will also go for a nap.

The sky isn't red, but we are expecting a bit of weather today.

Of course the Big Guy is happy as a clam that it's rain.

The other day, he was cooking some potato cakes and dipped his finger into the oil.

That was dumb.

He isn't likely going to do that again.

His finger is feeling a lot better today.

He has to get his lawn tractor ready for Winter.  

It is a job that takes about an hour.

Not that it's terribly hard, but he still doesn't really want to do it.

But if he thinks about it....

He doesn't want to shovel the entire driveway by hand.

17/Nov/21 are you thinking about giving me a treat

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I have a specific spot in the house, where I eat my treats.  

Or cookies.  

Or marrow bones.  

Or what ever it is that they give me.

With the size of my mouth, some crumbs slips out the side of my mouth.

If you don't wear slippers, you will find the crumbs with your feet.

It's not as bad as stepping on a lego or stuff like that.

But it does get your attention.

On the other side of the house, is my food dish.

Kibbles will fly out of my mouth when I'm eating.

If it's dark and your not looking down.

You will be stepping on my kibbles.

They hurt the humans feet.

Unless your the Big Guy.

He wears slippers, where ever he does.

Did you ever watch the 1st Terminator movie?

Where the machine is crushing skulls of their fallen victims...

That is the Big Guy laying waste to my fallen kibbles.

16/Nov/21 Christmas Lights are in the window

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

When ever Tonya gets home.  I hug her.  

I will hug her several times a day.

Yesterday the Big Guy made these fried potatoe cakes.

They certainly looked good.

BUT, he put onions in them.

Guess who can't have onions.

If you look at today's picture, you can see that he has started putting up the XMas lights.

You can also see the love seat that is to the left of this picture.  Well, when he puts up the lights, he also needs me to be out of the way.

Every time Tonya passes the vacuum, I jump up on the love seat to be out of the way.

So, when he was putting up these lights, i got up on the love seat to stay out of the way.

That worked until he needed the love seat out of the way.

So I went over by the TV and laid down.

I wanted to see what he was up to.

So far, the XMas tree isn't up.  I suspect that may be coming down from the attic in the next few days.

Oh the things these humans do...

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Tonya asked the Big Guy to put on some boiled eggs.

What good is that?

I don't get any boiled eggs.

I wonder if I were to beg enough, would she give in?

Would I get a whole egg?

I bet I would get the farts from it.

The sun is just starting to show.  The horizon is all orange and red.

I wonder what kind of storm we are going to get?

Why isn't there any words that rhyme with orange?

The Big Guy checked the weather. Yup, we are supposed to get some rain this evening.

Tonya and the Big Guy had better put some thought into getting another snow shovel.

They only got the one.

If that breaks, they only got those short handled shovels.

That would be nasty to have to shovel the stairs off with a short handled shovel.

Glad that I don't have to do any of that stuff.
