20/Apr/20 I'm waiting for you to come back to work

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Those windows that you can see at the top of the stairs, that is the same windows that the Big Guy looks out when he is in his "office".

Tonya sits in her "office" in the front spare bedroom.

I will travel back and forth between the two of them, looking for my pats and scratches.  Then, when one of them goes downstairs, I will follow them.  Just to see what they are up to.  You never know what one of them may decide to make and it could be worth my while to get a treat or some other nibbles (i.e. human food) that may drop on the floor.

Yesterday, it snowed in Cape Breton.

Now, the fact that it snowed, isn't much of a surprise.  But the amount of snow that fell, is.

Can you believe that?  Your going to have to click on the picture (above) to see that we got 43.2 cm of snow yesterday.

Now, if you were to look outside, you wouldn't see any evidence that we got that much snow.  I guess the Big Guy is lucky that most of it melted on contact with the ground.

So, this morning, while it was quiet outside.  The Big Guy put on his jacket and winter boots and went around the back of the house.  Got the shovel and shoveled a path to the road, from the front entrance to the house.  That way, the mail can be delivered, without too much hassle.

They are also expecting a delivery from Costco.  It was the first time that they decided to shop online and so far, the experience was rather pleasant.  But the stuff still has to be delivered.  Now, of course, they are hoping that it will be delivered tomorrow, when they are off.  Otherwise, one of them will have to leave "work" to get the delivery.  They are not sure if they have to sign for it or not.

19/Apr/20 I will stay inside for now, where it's warm and dry

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

We are in the middle of a snow storm right now.  Lots of snow and lots of wind.  We could possibly get as much as 30 cm of snow.

But since the Big Guy and Tonya really don't have any place to go, they can just watch the snow falling and enjoy the sound of the wind as it gently rattles the windows.

The winds are supposed to get higher in the next few hours.

Tonya says that she is afraid that we will loose power some time today.  I guess we will find out.  The Big Guy doesn't seem all that fazed by all this.  He's just somewhat annoyed that it's snowing this time of the year.

The Big Guy had made some pre-made meals for himself and Tonya this past week.  There was Taco Speghetti and this Buffalo Spice Ham and Cheesy Macaroni.  Well, both of those items have really been creating a panic in Tonya's bowels.  She says that she can't really have anything spicy like that.  So I wonder if the Big Guy should make Tonya something new for her.  Something that will be easier on her stomach.

He could make her some baked chicken and some mashed potatoes.  That normally means that I get some too.  Oh how I hope he makes it for her.

Mashed potatoes...  YUMMY!

18/Apr/20 sun sets are nice, but I prefer sun rise

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Well I guess tomorrow, we are expecting a bit of a snow storm.

Actually, they are forecasting 10 to 15 cm of snow.  The Big Guy hasn't put his lawn mower attachment on his tractor.  But then again, he also isn't expecting to go anywhere tomorrow.  So he isn't sure where his motivation is to shovel any snow tomorrow, or Monday.

Of course, he will very likely shovel off the front deck for the mail man.  That would be a piss off if they would show up, look at the snow going to the front steps and say...  NOPE! And walk away.  They can do that if they have to.

Do you see the picture of the chair that Tonya is sitting in.  Well, there is another chair that is on the front deck and the Big Guy is sitting in.  It's falling apart.  The top of what would be the wheel, fell off of the Big Guy's chair.

The Big Guy has a pattern that his father gave him for a replacement chair.  So, he will be going to the lumber yard and getting some wood.  Either that, or he will call it in to the lumber yard and have it delivered.  He isn't sure just yet what he wants to do.  But he certainly needs a replacement chair.  That's for sure.  He might build a couple of them, so that he has some for the back deck as well.  It will look like a modified Adirondack chair.  But not tilted back so much.

The Big Guy's father made them so that they were more of a double seater.  Well the Big Guy will make them so that they are more of a single seat chair.  They have nice wide arms for resting your drink on them.  The Big Guy will also make sure to pain them so that they last a good long time.

17/Apr/20 we needed to get our vitamin D

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Well as it turns out, to stay happy and healthy, my humans need to sit outside for about 30 to 40 minutes a day.  They are saying, they are getting their Vitamin D.

What ever floats your boat.  I don't mind being outside with them.  Especially when they have a prime rib roast and I get the bone to chew on.  YUMMY!

This will be the start of their 4th week of working from home.  I believe this will be going on for several more weeks to follow.  As long as I got them home with me, I'm pretty happy.

So, the Big Guy has got his meals all prepared for the work week.  He has Taco Spaghetti.  He has this Ham with Buffalo spice cheesy macaroni.  Then, they also have the prime rib roast with veggies.  So they are all set for their meals.  They only need to come downstairs and pop it into the microwave and they are done.  Then put the stuff in the dishwasher and back upstairs again for work.

When ever I see another dog walking on my street and I'm either outside or inside, I try to greet them with as much fanfare and barking as I possibly can.  Yesterday is no different.  We were sitting outside and the doggie across the street was going outside to do his business.  Well I was so excited to see him, I lost my bone that I was chewing on.  Tonya had to find it for me.  It got hooked in my lead and flew off the deck as I ran down the stairs to bark my greeting to the doogie across the street.

I'm surprised that the doggie across the street, doesn't bark at me at all.

The Big Guy says that the doggie across the street, has good manners.

What does he know...  He doesn't even have a tail to wag when he's happy.
