21/Mar/20 yesterday was the 1st day of Spring

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Did anyone take notice that it was the first day of Spring yesterday?

Not very much.

Yesterday, Tonya and the Big Guy were working from home for the 1st day.

This was very frustrating and confusing for me.  Normally they go to work and then, several hours later, they come home again.

This time, I could hear them talking upstairs.  But they got a gate that keeps me on the main floor.

Every so often, one of them would come down stairs and pat me and put me outside.  Which was nice and all that.

Tonya even allowed me to go upstairs with them for a bit.  They had closed all the doors to the other rooms upstairs.  So I tested each door, one at a time.  Master bedroom door, that stayed shut.  The small spare room upstairs, that one stayed shut as well.

But the bathroom door.  Success!  It opened when I pushed on the door.

I was able to take a drink out of the toilet.  But of course, the friggin toilet gave me away.  When I was licking the water, it allowed the noise to travel to the front bedroom.

Guess who had to go back downstairs again.

Shit.

20/Mar/20 first day of our "new normal"

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

So, Tonya and the Big Guy will be working from home for the next little while.  This is going to be the new normal for the next bit.

People are thinking that they will be working from home for a few weeks.  Hmmm...  something tells me, this could be for a few months.  I bet the novelty of working from home will wear off soon.

The Big Guy was looking on line to get a device that will give him wireless access to his computer.  Right now, he is using Tonya's computer.  His computer is older and doesn't have wireless access.

They will also need a second computer chair.  But they do have one in the basement.  So Tonya could have her chair and the Big Guy could have his chair.  Right now, they are both sharing the same computer and the same computer chair.  Isn't it nice how they can share?

But I suspect this will get old rather quickly.  That' why the Big Guy wants to get his wireless access thingy.  He should check at Brad's in North Sydney to see if they have something like that.  That way, he doesn't have to wait for Amazon to deliver it.

Humans are being told to stay about 6 feet away from each other.  That is the new social distancing.

The other day, I did say that Dogs and Cats can't catch this virus.  So far, we haven't.  But doctors and scientists are not 100% positive that we can't catch this virus.  Time will tell.

So, no more butt sniffing for me for a bit.

19/Mar/20 I am at 153 pounds

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday the Big Guy and I went to the Vet.  He was looking for these pills that calms me down before I go to the Vet.  Or in this case, the groomer.

Next week, I'm supposed to go to the groomer and the Big Guy is going to be with me when we go.  Well, being at the groomer is a VERY exciting time for me.  There is a lot of senses and stuff that I'm not used to happening.

I will be washed, which I've done in the past, so that isn't so bad.  But then they will be cutting my nails, which is quick and normally pretty easy.

But it's the blow drying and the brushing.  Oh my, that part, I'm not quite used to that.  Oh yea and then there is the clippers.  Thankfully they don't make too much noise, but still, I tend to loose a LOT of fur while I'm at the groomer.

So, with these pills, I stay pretty calm.  I'm not loopy or anything like that, I'm just more relaxed.

The Big Guy went home and made is Taco Spaghetti again.  I will admit, it smells WONDERFUL!  There is all kinds of cheese in it.  Mmmmm...  cheese...  But there is also chili spices.  I'm not so sure that I would do all that well with chili spices.

Just like today, they are going to be making these pizza rolls.  You can bet that I'm going to be bugging the crap out of Tonya for some of her supper.

In other news, Tonya and the Big Guy are going to be working from home for the next little bit.  But they will be upstairs.  I tend to get very "barkie" when I see another dog outside.  This would be bad news if they were on a phone call at that time.

18/Mar/20 I can't get sick from this virus

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The Big Guy has been telling me about this virus that's keeping everyone indoors.  Dogs and cats are not able to catch this virus.  It's contagious only to humans.

They are shutting down a lot of stuff.  The latest was coffee shops and bars.

I would imagine that anyone that planned to get married, they are going to be postponing their marriage, I should think.

Tonya was telling the Big Guy last night, that some of their friends that we traveling thru the US in their RV, made it home yesterday.  Yesterday, the Big Guy seen a post that they were about 1000 miles away from the US/Canada border and they were hoping to be able to cross as they are talking about shutting down the border crossings.  Mike and Noreen are home safe.

I've notice in the news, there is always more than one person that sits in the news room to deliver the news.  Normally they are always sitting next to each other, yadda yadda yadda...  now, I see that they are really sitting far apart.

As a dog, I'm not able to keep my distance from my human friends.  I wouldn't be able to do this "social distancing" that they are talking about.  WOW!  6 feet away from my Tonya?  I would absolutely die from the separation.

Just like their work, they may be working from home.  Well, if they do, I've heard from the Big Guy, he will be moving the computers upstairs to the spare room.  Just in case I bark, they don't want me to be heard.  Well...  HELLO!  I can bark really LOUD!  Even if your upstairs, I'm sure people will still hear me while your on the phone.
