20/Jan/20 this is how to relax during a snow storm

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

So, yesterday, we got 21 cm of snow.  That was right around what was forecasted to snow.  But it doesn't make the Big Guy any happier knowing how much snow fell.  It just means that he will have to go outside and clean up the snow.

But he does have a good machine to do that.

Also, as a bonus, his next door neighbor has already done the bulk of the work for him.  Lorne got out his tractor yesterday and has cleaned up the driveway for the Big Guy.  So he only has to go around the clean up the smaller parts.  So...  he should be done in record time today.

Although the Big Guy is really going to have to put some salt on the back deck.  It is coated with ice.  But that's because of what melts off the steel roof and then falls on the back steps and deck.

Yesterday, Tonya made some chili to take to work.  It was very well received.  They even brought some dinner rolls that they could have.

I over heard that they were going to take the left over dinner rolls and throw them out to the sea gulls.

The birds get pretty hungry as well.  But they do say that bread isn't all that good for birds.  That you should be feeding them bird seed.

They actually banned people from feeding the ducks bread and popcorn.  Well the city that did this, also found that the ducks were passing away from starvation.  So they lifted the ban and the ducks that lived, were healthy.  So, in the end, taking the food away from the ducks, didn't prove to be such a good idea after all.

19/Jan/20 look deep into my eyes... now give me a treat

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday the Big Guy went outside and was snow blowing the snow that had drifted around the yard.

He doesn't bring me outside with him when he is doing that.

I bark quite a bit at his snow blower.

It sounds to me like there is a hurt dog stuck in the machine.  So I bark quite a bit to make sure that it's OK.

Remember yesterday, I said that I would be getting Tonya's potatoes.

Well I did.

She got a plate of the Sheppard's Pie, put some ketchup on it and put it in the microwave to heat it up.

She went and watched her program called "Dr Pimple Popper".  Honestly, the stuff that grows on humans is so gross.  The Big Guy refuses to watch the program.  It is just way too graphic for him.

Anyways...  as she is watching her program and having her breakfast.

I'm staring at her.

She can feel the eyes boring into her.

Eventually she just couldn't stand it any longer.

I got her Sheppard's Pie.

Tell me who is in control of who here...

18/Jan/20 take the picture and go away

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Each and every morning, it's the same friggin thing.

I can hear the Big Guy creeping around the house.

I've got super duper hearing.  Who is he fooling?

Then he stops.

I open my eyes to see what he's up to.

FLASH! Goes the camera.

Then he creeps off again and sits by the computer.

Today was extra special.  He got up and made the coffee.  Then put me outside to do my "business".  I came inside and he's frying hamburger and onions.

What is he making?

Sheppard's Pie.

Wednesday, he made a prime rib roast for everyone as they were celebrating Tonya's Birthday.  Well they made way too many potatoes.  I had visions of it being given to me, spread over my kibbles with a light gravy.

Pfft...

That thought went out the window.

Now I will not be allowed to have ANY of the potatoes.

Unless...  Tonya can be a bit of a push over.  I will wait for her to get up.  THEN I will have some of her potatoes.

A plan has been made.

MUAH HA HA

17/Jan/20 and in the weather, the snow is falling rather hard now

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Of course I have to go out side to do my "business".  Well business is done fast when you have a lot of blowing snow.

So it isn't that it is snowing a lot.  Cause it isn't.  But there is blowing snow.  A LOT of blowing snow.

Within a few minutes, the snow melted off my body and I shook the snow and water off my fur.

I just had to look outside to see what snow was falling.

When the city decides that it will be sending out the plows, they are going to have snow drifts to deal with.  Not a lot of snow.  Just places where the snow gets dumped due to it being in a spot where there isn't a lot of wind.  That's going to be the problem.

The other thing that is going to make life interesting.  Is the garbage.  Yesterday the temp wasn't so cold out.  Not a lot of wind either.  So, due to the fact that the garbage gets collected around 6 in the morning and not a lot of people are up that early, people have been putting their garbage out the night before.

Just like last night, the Big Guy put on his shoes and put the garbage out to the curb in just his T-Shirt and pants.  This also includes the blue bags.  So there is like 3 times the normal amount of garbage that is out there.

So, of course the Big Guy is hoping the garbage is going to be collected before the snow plow people come by.  Otherwise there is going to be garbage buried into the snow banks...  shit.
