23/Mar/19 if only there was a roaring fire to lay next to

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

The Big Guy was telling me that his foot is feeling a lot better.  That means he may take me for a walk later today.

Although, it certainly did rain a lot.  So there will be a lot of puddles to walk though.  I don't mind too much.  Just as long as the puddle isn't too deep.

Did you ever taste the water in a puddle?

Very interesting tastes.

Every time I try to lick the water in a puddle, Tonya tells me not to.  Like there are some sort of germs in the water.

I can't see how that would be possible.  It's rain water.

Did you know, some places, your not allowed to have rain barrels to collect the water that falls off the roof of your house?

I found that very surprising.

But I guess the rain water is supposed to fall on the ground to fill up the water table in the ground.  So collecting it, doesn't allow it to fill up the water table.

I should think that a couple barrels of water isn't going to have much of an effect on the water table, but...  if you are collecting more than your fair share...  then that would be different.

Now, in places like Bermuda, they HAVE to collect the rain water for drinking purposes.  Seems funny how an island, surrounded by water, needs to collect rain water to drink.

22/Mar/19 I live in the land of confusion

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

I was being ignored yesterday.

I don't like being ignored.

Yes, I know the Big Guy is not feeling well.

But that's no reason to ignore me.

He decided to slouch down in the chair that Tonya normally sits in, and he slumped over, having another one of his "naps".

Well, I was bored.

He was napping.

The TV was on a channel that didn't have my attention.

Oh, a blanket.

It has stuffing, just like all the toys that Tonya and the Big Guy buys me.

Lets have some fun.

Yes, I did this.

Yes, the Big Guy was upset.  Not at me, but himself for not folding the blanket and putting it away.

The blanket isn't ruined, only some of the stuffing has been removed.

He isn't all that pleased with me though.

21/Mar/19 it's the second day of Spring

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

So the Big Guy is still suffering though his "man cold".  It was kind of funny watching him watch TV.  He would watch TV, and drift off, sleeping, then would wake up, rewind what he was watching, drift off again, wake up, rewind again, then just say screw it and move on to the next program.

I've been watching the Big Guy this morning.  If he yawns any bigger, he's going to swallow his own head.  Most humans can't open their mouths that big when they are yawning.

It is also day 2 since the Big Guy has had a cup of coffee.  Not saying that he drinks a lot of coffee, but normally he has 2 cups in the morning.  This is day 2 and nothing.

He is bitching about staying up watching me write this blog.  He wants me to hurry up so that he can go lay down and take a nap.

Always complaining that one.

Well, I better cut this blog short today before he has a hissy fit.

20/Mar/19 it's the first day of Spring

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

This past week, Tonya wasn't feeling that well.  She had the flu.  The Big Guy was pretty certain that he was able to dodge it.

Guess what...  He isn't immune to the flu.

Oh, but it gets worst.

It just isn't the flu that he's got.

It's...

A MAN COLD

(Insert dramatic music here)

Tonya is going to be suffering twice as much now.  Not only is she recovering from her own cold, but now she is going to have to deal with the lamenting and wailing from the Big Guy.

So on another topic.

Monday, the Big Guy had made himself a sandwich for breakfast.  Well, actually two sandwiches.  He made it on his home made bread.  As he was moving though the house and went to sit down to watch the news, one half of the sandwich feel off the plate on to the floor.

The Big Guy didn't get upset.  He looked at me and told me, I could have that half of the sandwich.

I wasn't certain at first.

Slowly, I went to investigate.

He still wasn't yelling for me not to touch the sandwich.  As a matter of fact, he was encouraging me to eat the sandwich that fell on the floor.

I still hesitated.

I wasn't sure what to do.

I continued to approach the fallen sandwich.  I sniffed.  I licked.  Then I gobbled it up and ran back to the couch, in case the Big Guy changed his mind.
