Good morning Cape Breton.Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.
So we got this smaller Christmas Tree that's in the living room. It's right at nose height too. But each time I get close to it, I'm told "no".
So I'm not sure if the tree has a name and they have called it "no" and are trying to introduce me to it, or if it means that I'm not to touch it.
For now, it can stay there. It's not hurting anything.
So the Big Guy is making this chicken stew. Oh and doesn't it smell wonderful.
But as usual, he has put onions in it and that means that I can't have any of it.
I wonder, if any day soon, he will run out of onions and then I can start having stuff that he cooks.
Tonya will sneak me some stuff every so often. But the Big Guy will look at her and she will look at him. They look at each other and she will say that a little bit will not hurt me. Then my paws get itchy as hell as that shows that I've eaten something that I'm allergic to. That will in turn get the Big Guy to give Tonya "the look". As he knows she has fed me something that I shouldn't have.
Yes, she knows better.
But I will stare at her while she eats.
I will lay my mussel on her and drool on her.
She always gives in.

So I've got this "power" tail.
It creates it's own air currents.
It's been known to clear everything off coffee tables and end tables.
It makes it's own noise when thumping into cupboards.
It's just a HUGE powerful tail.
When Tonya's on her computer, I will often go to her and try to get pats from her. This in turn makes me happy. Since I really can't smile, I wag my tail instead. BUT that sets up this wind machine and will make the Big Guy cold from all the air that my tail is moving.
Now, this is fine in the Summer. But right now, it's not Summer. It's Winter and it's colder than normal in the house. So when I'm swishing my tail, the Big Guy is cold. So he will often try to get my attention and then I turn around. Now the air is being moved over Tonya.
But unless she is having a heat flash, she doesn't enjoy my tail swishing the air for her either.
I can't really count how many items I've cleared off the coffee table. Or the end tables. Or the little TV tables that the Big Guy and Tonya uses. Sometimes, they will put their food on that table and my tail is swishing right into their food.
So far, no one has told me that they are going to cut my tail off. That would be nasty.

I just love laying inside doorways, or in the middle of the floor. That's my "thing".
When the Big Guy sees me doing this, he will often go the other way to get to what ever room he wants to get to.
BUT, if the room only has one door, guess who's being disturbed. It doesn't bother him in the least to get me to move.
So as some of you have read. The Big Guy has been painting these ship's crests. Well he is almost finished another two collections. One of the collections is of 4 ships and the other is of 20 ships. He hopes that he can sell a lot of both collections. I guess he's going to find out soon enough. Otherwise, he's spent a lot of time pouring crests, then painting them so that they can sell.
Oh well, if not, he has spent a lot of time creating something that is pretty.
So Christmas is about a week away. Tonya and the Big Guy are going to be having a quiet get together with their family. I will be annoying to some of the family. But that's only because I want to meet them. I don't get to meet strangers that often.
So there is this TV series called "The Curse of Oak Island". They have been trying to find treasure on this island for a long time. I hope they can find something soon as they are spending a lot of money. But when you listen to the narrator, he will make small mistakes. The other day, he put the city of Fredericton in Nova Scotia. Just a small mistake, but anyone that lives here, knows better. The Big Guy has been watching the series off and on, while catching up watching it "On Demand". So he's binge watching.
Just like Tonya, she's watching this series call "Bodyguard". It is from London. When the Big Guy watches it, he looks for places that he has been to, like certain bridges or other places. He will exclaim, I've been there and I've walked on that bridge. Yea, he's fun like that.

Yesterday Tonya and the Big Guy took off without me. Eventually they came home and had some treats for me. I got some new marrow bones. I also got this bone, that was pre-filled with peanut butter. Then, there was also a stuffed rabbit.
Normally, I can chew threw a stuffed toy in about 20 minutes. Give or take.
This one, it took me an hour to chew off the ears.
Now the rabbit looks like a rat.
But the body of this toy is incredibly durable.
Apparently there is this durability scale. It goes up to 10 points. This rabbit was supposed to be a 8 out of 10. I think the ears were about a 3.
Tonya also got a new cell phone. Which is fine by the Big Guy. He sorta wanted a tablet or something like that. Now he's got Tonya's old cell phone that he can use. He uses it for the crests that he is painting. It makes it quite easy now. He can turn the cell phone on and look at pictures of the crest he is painting. This makes it quite easy for him to see how to paint the crests.
It also allows him to use the old phone as a portable computer too. I guess, just like a tablet. As long as there is WiFi, it works OK. Talking of which, the Big Guy really needs to find Tonya's new cell phone and attach it to their WiFi.
