22/Jul/18 I've got pillow lines on my fur

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

I was laying on the floor when the Big Guy decided that it would be a good time to snap a picture of me.

Look at my fur!

Gawd!

Not a flattering picture at all.

It rained really hard a few times yesterday.  I think they are called cloud bursts.  It would rain, super hard for about 4 minutes, then pretty much be drizzle after that.

When Tonya went shopping for her sister and she came home, she had her own groceries to bring in.  Well, it was just at that moment when the sky opened and she was getting soaking wet.  She wanted the Big Guy to go outside with her.  He's no fool.  He stayed inside and would bring the groceries into the kitchen while keeping me from running outside in the rain.

We did end up going for a walk.  When we got home, the Big Guy had to take his shirt off and hang it over the railing to dry out.

It's going to be one of those high humidity days out today and it's going to be showering off and on all day as well.  It other words, another Netflix kind of day.

A few weeks ago, Tonya bought these portobello mushrooms.  I guess for those people that don't want to have hamburgers, these are a great replacement.

The Big Guy kept making other meals and eventually, they went bad and had to be thrown out.

I'm pretty sure the Big Guy did that on purpose.  He really likes beef, chicken, pork and fish.  Mushrooms that pretend to be beef is just not his "thing".  I wonder why she didn't just cook them for herself and eat them on her own?  I'm pretty sure the Big Guy would have happily had something else that day.

One thing I've noticed, if it's really not the Big Guy's idea, he will do quite a bit to avoid what ever it is that isn't his idea.

21/Jul/18 is that someone at the door

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

So the Big Guy's mum surprised Tonya a few weeks back.  She gave her some stuff that belonged to my non-furry Pepere.  I never met him, but I heard that he had a bet with the Big Guy that he would own another dog.

So along comes me.  I'm that dog.  But the Big Guy is saying, after all the damage that I've done, I'm going to be the very last dog they ever own.

We will see.

Anyways, back to the stuff that my non-furry Memere gave to Tonya.

Now, of course, the Big Guy knows about these crests.  He has all the molds in the basement.  So he could make "thousands" of them and sell them.  At about $40.00 a pop, he could make a lot of money.  That would include shipping to anywhere in Canada.

He does have a spare room upstairs that he could convert and start making these crests.  He has all the ship's crests.  With the exception of the new ones.  But it wouldn't take much to be able to make a mold for the new ships and start making them.

He's not sure if there is a huge market for this.  Although it was a money maker for his father, now, he's just not sure.

What do you think?  My constant readers, if you could leave a comment to let him know if you think there is a market in this.

The Big Guy's knee was really sore yesterday.  He wasn't able to take me for a walk.  But Tonya was able to take me.  She was scared that I might try to run and pull away from her.  I did a bit, but in the end, it was a good walk for the both of us.

20/Jul/18 I'm going to lay in the way

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

I have this "thing" where I just love being in the way.

I will select a door way, and will plop myself to the floor and wait...  and wait... and wait...  I'm patient.  Then I hear my humans walking towards me.

I smile (on the inside, cause a dog smiling would be frickin creepy)

I keep my eyes closed.  I can feel them trying to step over me.

That's when I will get up.  HA HA  I've got them trapped.  They got a leg on either side of me.  I've made them drop stuff to the floor while they have been trying to tip toe over me.

Now, the Big Guy just doesn't care.  He will look at me and give me a nudge with his foot and tell me to get the frig out of his way.  I think he's on to me.

Damn, I've got to get up now.

The floor was so cool, just in that spot.

Now I've got to go find another spot that is going to cool me off.

Have you ever been in their kitchen?  They don't have an island in their kitchen.  They got me instead.  I'm am the island that they have to walk around.

The Big Guy can move islands though.  He doesn't care that I've found the cool spot in the kitchen.  He can be a prick some days.

19/Jul/18 it's too warm for this fur coat

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Once again, I am laying there and... FLASH!  The Big Guy got up earlier than normal and is taking my picture.  You can see one of the many leashes that I own.  This one is a rope that goes around my neck.  It doesn't choke me.  You can bet, when I "take off", I barely notice that I've got that leash on me.

Yesterday, we went for a walk between showers.  We didn't get all the rain that the weather people were forecasting.

Hmmm... the camera just went off again.  He took a picture of me for tomorrow's blog.  Geesh, how he loves taking pictures of me.

Yesterday the Big Guy was making some food, but he was putting a lot of onions in it.  So that means that I couldn't have any of their leftovers.  One of the items he made was Sweet and Sour Pork with pineapple.  It smelled so wonderful.  But I don't do so well with pork.

A few weeks back, I was licking my paws.  A lot!  Tonya did some research on the internet and she found that there must be something that I'm allergic to, that I am eating.  Now the Big Guy cooks a lot with onions.  Tonya will often give me table scraps.  So the Big Guy figures, there must have been something, like onions, in the left overs that Tonya was giving me.  Ever since then, I am no longer licking my paws.  So what ever it was that I was allergic to, I'm no longer eating.

I can see that the Big Guy is anxious to go watch Big Brother.  He likes that show.  Well, not just that show, but it's one of the ones that he follows.  I will admit, the humans on that show, they are not always on their best behavior.  Then they get all upset at the smallest stuff.
