Good morning Cape Breton.

The Big Guy may think that he is sneaking around and being all quiet in the morning. But he wears these slippers that scuff across the floor. They are NOT quiet at all.
We went for a walk last night. Well, if the Big Guy didn't figure out something that makes his walk better, but mine worst. When I stop to sniff something, he puts the leash at his waist and holds it there. Then he just keeps walking. Since all his "pulling" power is from his hips, as soon as the leash goes tight, I get dragged along, even if I try to dig in, it doesn't seem to slow him down at all.
Tonya found this really funny yesterday when I was trying to sniff this telephone pole and the Big Guy was dragging me along. She could see me arching my neck, still trying to sniff. My paws were scratching along the sidewalk. I had to give up my sniffing and move along to catch up. I am sure if I fell on my side, the Big Guy would have just kept on walking, dragging me.
I wonder what it's going to be like this Winter? If he doesn't have a good pair of boots on, I will have the advantage. His feet will be slipping and I will have all 4 of my paws digging into the snow.
After we got home, I thought it would be nice to find stuff and bring it into the living room. I got Tonya's slipper. She took them away. I got Tonya's hat, she took that away. I got a pillow. She took that away. I got a blanket, she took that from me. I looked at the Big Guy's sneakers and knew that was a stupid idea, so I just left them alone.
I've put a lot of my toys out on the deck. Perhaps I should take some of them off the deck and bring them into the living room again.
Bye bye for now.

The weather has finally cooled off again. The last couple of days, our weather was effected by the remnants of Hurricane Nate. Both Tonya and the Big Guy have been walking me without their jackets on.
I think that in the next few days, they will be wearing their jackets again. Or should I say, Rain Coats. Most of next week, it looks like there will be a lot of rain in the forecast. This normally translates into short walks for me. Now if it was snowing out... I wonder if it would equal a longer walk? Guess I will have to wait to find out.
I didn't run into any dogs on last night's walk. There was a few that were in the distance, but nothing close. There was one spot where I really wanted to sniff, but there was a lot of loose gravel and dirt. It didn't take much for the Big Guy to just keep walking and my paws had no purchase at all. Tonya found it really funny as she could see that I wanted to keep sniffing and even though I had my paws fully deployed, I was just skidding along as the Big Guy just kept walking along, dragging me behind him.
The Big Guy can be a no nonsense kind of walker. Tonya only takes the leash a couple of times. But only at the end of the walks and I am looking forward to going home. So I am not giving her a hard time.
During our walk, there was a cat that was hiding in the grass. The Big Guy seen the cat and was holding my leash really firmly. But I never seen it. Soon after we passed the hiding cat, the leash relaxed. I wasn't sure what the hell was going on.
The Big Guy doesn't like taking me for drives in the morning if it's raining out. One day, I got really wet and decided to shake off the water while I was inside the car. This did NOT make the Big Guy very happy. So now, when it's raining out, I stay home. So again, I can't wait for it to snow.
Bye bye for now.

I always get bugged when I am sleeping. I can hear the Big Guy trying to be quiet. Then I open my eyes and there is a camera pointed at my face. This morning was no different.
Well it's raining outside.
So I don't know if that means my walk is delayed, or will be just put off for the day.
Yesterday, there seemed to be a lot of dogs being walked. When I see another dog, I really pull hard on my leash. It actually chokes me, but it still doesn't prevent me from pulling hard.
Last night, I met a dog that is something like me. He is a Golden Retriever / Bernese Mountain Dog. So where there should be white fur, his was brown. His friend that was walking with him, he was all black. But he didn't like me very much and barked at me a few times.
When we got home, I just laid out on the living room floor. I was pooped. The Big Guy was commenting, he hopes that I will learn not to pull so hard on my leash as it does cut off my air. Why would I pull so hard on the leash, if I knew it was cutting off my air? A lot of times, I start sniffing something and can't help myself. I just want to learn as much as I can. This normally ends up with the Big Guy putting the leash to his waist and them him "digging in". He still outweighs me by a factor of 3:1. But I have 4 big paws on the ground. But then you can hear my nails scratching across the sidewalk.
He is still "winning" for now. But wait till he gets down to about 200 pounds. Then it will be less than 2:1 and I will have 4 paws to his 2 feet on the ground. We will see who drags who.
Bye bye for now.

So my non-furry Memere has gone home again.
Everyone says that they love me. I tried to be a good doggie while they were visiting. I wasn't too hyper around my non-furry Memere. They had my training collar on me and didn't have to use it.
Kim really loves how I would lean on her. Then when she would stop scratching me, I would look up at her to get her to continue scratching.
I got to go for a walk AND go to the dog park. I had a lot of fun there. But then again, I ALWAYS have fun at the dog park.
Well, not much to say today. The pictures will do all the talking for me. Click on the picture to see them full screen.
Bye bye for now.
