Good morning Cape Breton.

What do I get when those two humans are having supper? Kibble and water. Always the same. A dog can't live on just kibble and water.
It wouldn't kill me if they were to give me a BBQ'ed steak every so often.
Yesterday I had to go to the vet. Now, I remember the VET. This is where I went in the back room and there was six of them waiting for me.
Can you imagine!
SIX humans up against ME. Five of them held me down while one of them was cutting my dew claws. I didn't bite any of them, but they knew that I wasn't happy. When they let me go, I shook it off and ran out to be next to the Big Guy. I insisted that we leave. RIGHT NOW!
So yesterday, Tonya is trying to get me back INSIDE this place. I'm not to happy about that. But they didn't hold me down. Someone gave me a treat and then there was a mosquito that bit me on the back of my neck. I was told it was a booster shot for something or other. Then we got to leave pretty much right away. So that wasn't so bad after all.
I got to watch the Big Guy mow his lawn last night. He also has this thing called a whipper snipper. I am none too pleased with it. It makes a high pitched noise and it hurts my ears. I want to BITE it really bad. But the Big Guy will yell at me for trying and will move it just out of my reach.
After they were done, they were relaxing on the front deck. The Big Guy was waving this tennis racket thingy around. He would press a button on the handle and then wave it around. A mosquito would go inside the opening and would sizzle and pop. The Big Guy held it down and I wanted to sniff this "tennis racket".
One of my whiskers went in the opening and I was ELECTROCUTED!
The Big Guy is waving around a taser that looks like a tennis racket?!
The Big Guy thought this was funny as hell. How he laughed. When he passed it over to Tonya, I wanted NOTHING to do with this "tennis racket - taser" thingy. Then when it was time to go in, I had to make sure that neither of them had this 'tennis racket - taser" thingy in their hands. Once I seen the coast was all clear, then I went inside with them.
Bye bye for now.
Good morning Cape Breton.

Yesterday I got a little sick in my kennel and it was under my chin and over my chest fur. So after my walk, the Big Guy got out the garden hose and sprayed me down. Then he got out the Dove Dish soap and washed me down. Not my back and stuff, but my white fur. But because I wouldn't stand still, ALL my fur got wet.
Because my barf was kinda stinky, Tonya said, only a short walk last night. So we only went 4 blocks.
The Big Guy wasn't too unhappy about that. I was pretty wound up last night. I was being a bad boy as I was walking. I settled down after a bit, but still was doing MY thing. Sniffing and not moving when the Big Guy wanted. He pulled on my leash a lot for me to get moving again. There was even one spot, where he was pulling so hard, I tried to dig my nails in to the sidewalk. My nails were scraping a long the sidewalk and left marks. I really smelled some thing interesting and didn't want to stop smelling something interesting.
Well because my fur got wet, the mosquitoes came for a visit. A LOT of mosquitoes came by.
One of their friends were driving past. He seen the Big Guy sitting on the deck so he stopped in for a few minutes to chat. I was REALLY excited to see him. His name is Leo and he lives in Balls Creek. His last name is Campbell and he lives on Campbell Road. But he isn't from Cape Breton originally. His parents moved here when they were young to make their money in the Steel Plant. Just like a lot of people are moving to Alberta to make their money from the oil industry.
Leo was impressed with my size. Of course he was astonished by the size of my paws. I just wanted to jump on him and play. The Big Guy kept scolding me for that.
Bye bye for now.

Yesterday we went for a nice walk. That's the one where we walk about 1.4 km. That's about 12 blocks. The Big Guy can walk farther than that now. It was pretty warm out (for us). Not like some parts of the country. I think it was Monday where the temps were in the low 40's (Celsius) in parts of Alberta. It RARELY ever gets that hot here.
The Big Guy got a friend in Australia and he was saying how it's Winter there. Tonya didn't get that. He said that it was cold there. Not sure how cold it gets in his part, but I know the Big Guy said he was at CFS Alert and it got pretty damn cold there.
Tonya dumped my pool last night. It was full of my fur. It has to be washed out and filled again.
I think this weekend, they may be taking me to the dog park again. I get SUPER excited when I seen the chain link fence.
Last night, when we were sitting outside, the Big Guy noticed that I was tearing up the front hedge. He doesn't seem to mind too much that I am destroying that. He was saying to Tonya, if I destroy one part, that they will have to make me a long lead so that i can get to other parts of the hedge to destroy that too.
I think the Big Guy plans to take a video of me in action, taking apart the hedge, one plant at a time.
It rained last night. Not a hard rain, but enough to make everything wet. Which is good as the lawn needs to be watered to keep it green.
Bye bye for now.

The Big Guy didn't get a chance to "catch me in the act" destroying this Hostas on this side of the deck. There is also a Tiger Lilly that I've been chewing on.
I've managed to pull up a few branches out of the front hedge. You can only see what I've pulled up when your sitting on the front deck. From road, the hedge looks just fine.
I heard Tonya say that she wishes she could afford to pull up the entire row of hedges. The Big Guy doesn't mind the hedge too much. He would like to create a box, with cut out "eyes" and then insert blinkie lights in the back of the box. So it would give the illusion of some creature blinking at you. This would be great for Halloween. I think all the lights would have to be red so that it would be really scary.
I've decided that I don't like birds too much. They steal the bird seed from the feeders. Then there is the crows. Tonya and the Big Guy will put stuff out on the lawn for them to pick at. Like the apple peels from my apple. The apple core goes in the green bin. Well the crows know how far my lead will reach and it's like they try to tempt me. I chase after them. So far, they are still winning.
Tonya was NOT enjoying sitting out last night. She was bugged by the mosquitoes. She said that they bite her. The Big Guy, he was only bugged a little bit.
During my walk last night, I got to see my mistress. Bailey. She is so adorable. We got to play a bit. She is shedding as well. She lives with another dog, but he isn't so friendly. He is really protective of Bailey. The Big Guy has GOT to carry his camera so that he can take a picture of her. Then perhaps print off the copy and hang it in my kennel. Like a young man having a poster hanging on the wall of their room.
Bye bye for now.
