Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. In this picture, I just NEED to show Tonya how much I love her. Why don't humans like it when we lick them? Yesterday the Big Guy made some Coleslaw and he didn't like how it turned out. He ate some and then put the remainder of it into the green bin. He found that the carrots and cabbage turned to mush when he tried to use his mixer to shred the stuff. He says that he is going to use his food processor next time. Yesterday I got to watch the Big Guy swap out the winter tires for the summer tires on his car. That took a long time for him to finish that job. About an hour. He has watched NASCAR on TV and they take about 12 seconds to swap out 4 tires. He is about 300 times slower than those guys. Then he took the time to remove his snow blower and install the lawn mower on his little garden tractor. He then mowed the lawn. Not a great job, as he didn't go around and do the other parts where he would use the whipper snipper and then use the push mower for the places that the lawn tractor will not go.
Tonya told the Big Guy that she expects him to cook her something nice for supper. He isn't sure what to make. But I am sure he will figure out something. Here is a video of me having fun on the deck yesterday. Hope you can enjoy it.
Did you enjoy watching me play? I know that I would like to have a bigger place to run around. Bye bye for now.
Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. Last night, we went for a walk. Not a long walk, not a short one either, but a medium walk. But still when we got home, the Big Guy decided that we would walk in the house by the front door. The grass felt so good under my paws, I just laid down. Didn't he understand, I was tired out from walking? Give me a minute. The new grass is so soft on my fur. It smells so nice. BUT NO... he tugging and hauling on my harness like it's a ships hawser and he took 3 turns on the capstain with some other dickhead turning it handsomely. So I got up before he decided that he would drag me up the stairs. The Big Guy is trying to teach me to sit before he opens the back door. If I don't sit, he will NOT open the door. Then he opens it slowly. If I move, he shuts the door. I have to continue to sit and then he says "OK", then I can move. You would not know what it is like for me to sit while he opens the door. I am so EXCITED. He must have closed that door about a thousand times. Each time I would move the door closed. He did that the other day too. So I think this is going to be his new thing. Either I sit and wait, or the door will stay closed. He has been trying to keep the leash out of my mouth. He hip checked me the other day when I went to jump. I wasn't expecting that. I jumped a few times, and then the hip would come at me. He tries to hold the leash up and away, where it's hard for me to reach. Perhaps I will stop trying to bite the leash. We will see. Bye bye for now.
Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. I got to walk in a new area yesterday. While we walked towards where the old North Sydney Forum used to be, I seen an old friend that I haven't seen since I was just a little doggie. Now I am bigger than he is. I can't remember his name, but I can remember that his owner, his name is Mike. My friend doesn't like being on his leash when greeting other dogs. His mouth was full of lather and when he tried to shake if off, spit, foam and lather flew all other the place, including over his mussel. What a mess he made. He barked at me a few times. I am not sure what I did wrong. But we said our good byes and walked away. Then, as we were on the home stretch to get home, I seen a little poodle that I met before. Once again, she was bigger than me at one time, now, I think she doesn't even come up to my chest. I got to sniff her, but then got into sniffing areas she didn't want sniffed. She barked at me too. I must be doing something wrong. Then, Mr Prince got home and he came over to pat me. He was surprised how big I got. He asked to make sure that I didn't hurt his cat. The Big Guy told him, I wasn't much interested in cats. Dogs on the other hand, I really am looking to play with other dogs. Cats are not very friendly and they don't like to play very much. I sniff them and move on. When we are out walking, I look at them and know that they are not very playful. So I don't pay them a lot of attention. The Big Guy is trying to train me not to rush the door when it opens. So far, he is happy with my progress. I still have a lot to learn. Jumping is going to be a big thing for me. I get so happy and I jump up. A lot of people seen the picture of my paw across the Big Guy's hand. Yes, I do have big paws. Bye bye for now.
Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. While we are out walking, the Big Guy will, on occasion walk on my paws. I know that he doesn't do it on purpose. But every so often, I will walk on the back of his slippers and he can't move his foot. I think it's so funny. Talking of walking, I didn't get a walk yesterday. The weather was miserable and Tonya was down and out for the count. Not only does her bum still hurt, but she now has the cold that the Big Guy had last week. Nice thing though, his cold only lasted about 4 days. It's gone now. Tonya asked the Big Guy to make her a hot toddy. I think she just wanted a drink. I don't get human colds. But I don't drink either. Well, I do drink. I drink puddles, toilet water (when they forget to put the toilet seat down) and I will taste test your drink if you turn your back on me. Tonya is always putting water from the water cooler in my dish. That makes the Big Guy upset. Not that he doesn't want me to have cold water. But he thinks that I should have tap water, cooled with ice cubes. He has to fill the water jug and put it on the water cooler. Then when he goes to have a drink, Tonya has put it all in my water dish. It took him about 2 weeks before he filled the water cooler this time. I know that she is going to continue giving me water from the water cooler, no matter how much he wishes that she wouldn't. The weather is supposed to be nicer this weekend. The Big Guy was saying that he will be putting the summer tires on the car. This doesn't effect me very much. I keep the same paws on all year round. Well, the Big Guy is going to go watch Big Brother Canada to see who got voted out. Not sure if any of you watch that show. Bye bye for now.
