13/Apr/17 a week ago, we had a blizzard, now... no snow

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

I can't sit on these computer chairs.  I am just too big for them.

The Big Guy has this walk application that he has on the smart phone.  Well last night he forgot to turn it off when they got home.  It said that it took him 1.5 hours to walk 1.4 kilometers.

When we were out for our walk last night, I met a new friend.  His name is Charlie.  I was sniffing Charlie in some of his boy parts and he didn't like that too much.  He barked at me and I backed away, right into the Big Guy's sore knee.  We continued on for the walk, but he was in a lot of pain after that.  He is going to have to rest up before I go on another walk.

Pretty sure I am not going for a walk tonight as the Big Guy has to work 11 hours today.  I am pretty sure that's a long time.  I get lonely when he walks out of the room.  I can't imagine how long 11 hours is.  But Tonya will be with me.  So I will get to jump and chew on her while he is at work.

As I am looking outside, there is a lot of fog.  Fog means what ever snow is left, will be melted.  The Big Guy hopes that he can take the snow blower and put it away for the season.  That wouldn't upset him at all if he had to do that.

The Big Guy was watching Survivor last night.  One of the guys on the show, he is transgender.  The Big Guy just doesn't understand what that means.  I tried to tell him.  I am a dog.  But there are other dogs out there, they feel like they are a cat.  They think like a cat.  They wish that they were a cat.  But everyone sees them as a dog.

Bye bye for now.

12/Apr/17 oh was that paper important

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

We went for the longest walk yesterday.  The Big Guy took a Tylenol before we left so that his back wouldn't hurt as much.  But I still tugged a lot.  Like his back wasn't hurting.  He said that his toes were being mashed into the front of his sneakers as he was trying to hold me back.

But I got to meet a new dog while we were out walking.  His owner said that he is mixing me up with another Bernese Mountain Dog.  When he seen me from far, he was really excited to see me.  But when he was able to sniff me, he knew it wasn't his old friend.  That I am someone new.  But we sniffed each other and then kept on walking.

A lot of the snow has melted and I am able to get new smells from the ground.  It is so exciting when I am out for walks.

My non-furry Memere said that the Big Guy should watch Ceasar Milan and how to walk me.  I walk just fine.  Every so often, I will forget that I am on a leash and I will want to really sniff something new.  Like a tree or a lamp post and I will try to run.  Then I realize that I am also trying to pull the Big Guy along with me.  Right now, he wins cause he weighs more than me.

I have been trying to pee on stuff to mark my walks.  So far, I am not able to pee on everything.  I use up all my pee at the beginning of the walk.  At the end of the walk, I am sure there is only a few dribbles that is coming out.

Bye bye for now.

11/Apr/17 go back to bed, it's still early

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

I got a friend that lives in Toronto and his name is Keiffer.  Keidfer was 6 and a 1/2 years old.  He had to be put down.  He got too old really quick.  That is the problem with our breed.  We live life too fast.  His owner is really sad.

Good bye Keiffer, save a dog bone for me up there in doggie heaven.

Then there is my brother Odin.  He lives in Gagetown.  He got steak for his birthday.  Well, not one steak, but two steaks.

I got a hamburger that Tonya made.  It was some good, let me tell you!

Guess who got new sneakers yesterday.  The Big Guy!  Now he has two pairs of sneakers.  Now, when one pair gets wet, he doesn't have that as an excuse not to walk me.

The Big Guy has a sore back the last few days.  He figures that it's his kidneys.  They are working over time being on this Keto Way Of Eating.  Tonya is making him go see the Dr and see if he is OK to stay on that diet.  He may just need to watch his calorie intake.  That and walk me.  Calorie in and calorie out.  That's the name of the game.  I hope he feels better soon.  It's getting nicer out all the time.

I am pretty sure that once the fence gets put in the back yard, there is going to be some stuff that is going to be moved.  Like Tonya's little water fountain.  If she doesn't move it, there is a good chance I will knock it over.  Either that, or I will try to drink out of it and she says that the water us yucky in it.

Then there is the "emergency" logs that the Big Guy has been keeping by the fence.  Pretty sure they are going to have to go somewhere else too.  Last year, I was using them as chew toys.  Perhaps he will put them in the garage where everything else seems to go.

Bye bye for now.

10/Apr/17 I am 1 year old TODAY!

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Yesterday the Big Guy asked Tonya if she would like to come with us to the Doggie Park.  They put me in the car and opened up the sun roof.  Since the cage wasn't in the way, I was able to stand on the center arm rest between the two front seats and stick my head out the roof of the car.

I certainly did get a lot of smiles as people would recognize that it was a LIVE doggie that had it's head looking out the roof.  While we were at a stop light, some guy pulled up in a truck and started talking to me.  He said that now that he's seen that, he's seen it all now.

We finally got to the dog park and I was so excited.  We went inside and the other dogs ran right up to me.  I got to sniff them all.  There was a smaller doggie and she didn't really want too much to do with me.  But I was able to run and run and run.  Then there was the mud.  I did have white fur on the bottom of my legs.  But when I was done running around, that fur was black with mud.  The Big Guy tried to walk me in a snow bank to get some of the mud off me.

But I had so much fun.  I hope to go back, again and again.

As we were leaving, Tonya put a blanket on the back seat and then put up the cage in the car.

We got home, they put me in the shower.  I didn't mind too much.  They had a bit of a tough time convincing me to go into the tub.  But I went.  Then I just stood there, in the tub, while they showered me.

After I got dried off, I slept a lot.

They said that they will be taking me back there again, only next time, they hope that the ground will be dryer.

Bye bye for now.
