14/Oct/16 isn't my fur coat shiny?

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Last night, I went for a drive and we went to 2 pet stores.  I got a new halty and a new harness.  The harness is for when I am in the car so that I can be belted in.  Humans have their seat belts, well I get my harness.  The halty is for when I go for walks.  They want me to be good when I walk and stop bouncing and bounding away from them.  When they put it on my last night, it worked pretty good.

A lot of people are still without power in Nova Scotia and it's been 5 days now.  That's a long time.  The Big Guy has a friend at work, she still doesn't have cable TV or internet yet.  The got power, so they are warm and bored.

Tonya found one of my poops with her shoe yesterday.  She didn't notice it as she was walking to the car.  ha ha  GOT YA!  She said that it was a big poo at that.  She was surprised that poop that size came out of me.  Just you wait...  I'm not full grown just yet.  I got more pooping to do.

Hurricane Nicole is going to miss Cape Breton.  Then again, I seem to remember saying that about Hurricane Matthew.  I wonder if I am going to be wrong on that?

Otherwise, I got to sleep a lot.  That's my thing.

Pretty sure that tomorrow, the Big Guy is going to be making his annual Turkey Pot Pie.  I wonder if he will make a video of that?

Talking of videos.  The Big Guy has 77 subscribers.  He said that when he gets 100 subscribers, he is going to feed me a steak.  So if you want to see me eat a steak, please go to his YouTube channel and subscribe.  You can click HERE to go to his channel.

Bye bye for now.

13/Oct/16 over 5000 views

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Did you know that I have over 5000 views on my blog?  I am so happy about that.

This past Tuesday, Tonya and the Big Guy went to Wal-Mart and they got me a new lead.  The previous little line would hold up to 60 pounds.  This new one will hold 250 pounds.  I am not giong to get that big.

Last night, Tonya had to stop walking me and get the Big Guy to take me home.  I was just too restless and wouldn't stop running away from my lead.  The Big Guy said it's like trying to walk Tigger the Tiger from Winnie The Poo.  He bounces and so do I.

Tonya can remember this Lab that used to be walked on King Street.  How full of energy he was and how he used to bite at his leash.  I do that too.  So I only got walked about a 1/4 of the block and was brought back home again.  Of course on the walk back home, I was good.

I need a new harness if I am going to get into the back of the car.  I have out grown my current harness.  Since I will not just sit still in the back of the car, the Big Guy insists that I get a new harness.  Otherwise, no drives.

Tonya was saying on Facebook, a lot of her friends are posting that they are getting their power back on.  There doesn't seem to be a generator for sales on the entire island.  Probably the main land too.

The Big Guy and Tonya were sitting outside talking about that last night.  They said that when they get their new siding and windows, they should be getting a new generator too.  That way, when the power goes out, they got this generator to get them by.  It should be able to run the furnace, the fridge and the freezer, with a few other items thrown in for good measure.  Like the coffee maker, the toaster, the computer, perhaps the TV.  We don't want to get too carried away here.  But then it all has to be certified so that the insurance will except it.  No home handyman stuff there.

Bye bye for now

12/Oct/16 so glad the electricity is back on

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

I am glad that the electricity is back on.  The humans that I live with, they are miserable without it.  They did get some water in their basement, but the Big Guy figures it was from the water that came down the chimney for the furnace.  He can't prove it because he doesn't have any more water down there.  It dried up and he can't locate where it came from.

So, next summer, when he is going for new siding and windows, he best be thinking about replacing the chimney cap.

He has also been giving serious thinking about buying a generator.  That would be SO convenient.  When the power goes out, flip a switch in the basement and then start up the generator to power up the furnace, freezer and a few other things.  Like the coffee maker and the computer.  It seems the power goes out, not the internet.  I wonder if the internet should be supplying the power to people's homes.

I got a late start on today's blog due to the computer wanting to get an update.

So that is done.  But I better go for now.  The Big Guy needs to do his Food Blog.

Bye bye for now.

Good evening Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.
